This man in the photo was on death row for murder at a maximum security prison in Kenya. After some intense negotiation with the prison commanding officer, we were allowed to meet and preach to the 300 condemned inmates scheduled to be hung within 6 months. After praying for the Lord to commute their death sentences and preaching the Love of Christ, 250 prisoners accepted Christ. When we returned to America, we found out that over 90 men were released from death row and the prison. Praise the Lord for answered prayers.
John, shown here was one of the 250 men condemned prisoners that repented and accepted Christ. His sentence was commuted by the president and he became one of our body guards at our crusade last February. He wants to become a minister now and shares his personal testimony to everyone he sees. What a miracle that man had from the Lord. This year over 2,000 inmates accepted Christ when we preached in 6 prisons.
We preached in 6 prisons on our last trip to Kenya, conducted a pastor's conference with 2,300 in attendance and did a 3 day crusade where tens of thousands of men, women and children accepted Christ.
Next January, we will be going to Uganda to do another crusade and leadership conference, then cross the border to Kenya and visit the 6 prisons again. We really need your help. We need your prayers and we need your financial support. This trip will cost each team member $4000 in travel expense. The crusade and conference will cost World Light over $17,000 to do. We are expecting over 5,000 pastors to come to our conference and over 150,000 people to attend the 4 day crusade. Tens of thousands will be saved at this crusade.
